Im not advocating this as normal btw, just answering the question of the class about how producers have a role in continuing inequality. As I believe everyone can be what they themselves chose to be. 🤍
I do agree that providing help and healthy habits is a good incentive however it could work together with strict prohibition as this would also encourage parents to adress the problem of addiction instead of handling it in the perhaps wrong way by just forcing the kids to study instead.
Still I think that depends on the person as they can find their ‘escape’ in any form of absorbing entertainment. What we really have to look at is to solve the problem of possible addiction to kids that shouldn’t prioritise games over school.
I agree in this however smart limits and personal responsibility isn’t an option to those who are already sensitive to addictions therefore I think a partial ban would be appropriate. Like the Chinese Government put a certain ban after a certain amount of hours played.
As WHO stated, it can BECOME a disorder not that gaming in general is addictive. Therefore I think people that are in general sensitive to addictions, are the ones that can develop such a disorder rather than anyone who plays games.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) announced in 2020 that gamers could develop a gaming disorder which they defined as ‘extreme case of addiction’. Some people might interpret this as ‘gaming = addictive’. However I think it lies by the gamer not the game itself.

Never felt so absent minded in a class before….even though it was my favorite subject regarding martial arts…now I miss practicing taekwondo ㅠㅠ
Overall, the concept of fighting for one’s masters belt and in the chaotic time it was placed in made it a good martial arts movie. #kuro-obi #blackbelt #shunichiNagasaki
Although the story line was kinda messy and the concept was debatable. I think the form and scenes that show the actual practice and movements of karate were really nice. Opposite of recent movies who are very focused on fast phased filming, I really thought the phase of the movie made it good.

Black belt (Kuro-obi) produced in 2007 under direction of Shunichi Nagasaki is a good but quite under appreciated movie regarding not only the practice of martial arts (karate) but also the historical context it was shown in.

Therefore the combination of social pressure, the ‘correct’ masculine behaviour, and family expectations makes fatherhood in China and overal anxious issue. #fatherhood #China #masculinity
Another concern might be when choosing between the Wén and Wǔ way of behaving in terms of fatherhood, that one might reflect an image which is not supported or rather seen as weak by others, and then adopted by the child.
I think people are so concerned regarding this topic as they, not only wanna raise their child well, but also up to the expectations raised by society which is often strongly influenced by the government for the benefit of the country.
In China, there have been discussion around fatherhood and how to be a ‘good’ father. Anxieties hang mostly around the question to be emotionally encouraging or strictly educational towards the child. Thereby meaning that there is this dilemma between showing soft or hard behaviour.

I wonder as time passes by, how much will the coffee consumption of Korea increase? And will this over-consumption of coffee perhaps influence other countries into consuming more of it too? Especially with the hype of aesthetic cafes rising up
#coffee #KoreanCoffeeCulture #ComposeCoffee #kimtaehyung
Like when I went to get coffee with a friend of mines at compose coffee. She was not craving any coffee but still went to buy one for the sake of buying a product that involved the BTS member Kim Taehyung.
Another thing to notice is that coffee shops have many famous people ‘representing’ coffee brands, making the consumption of a specific coffee brand goes up.
Whenever I ask my friend to go into the city or to study together, in every activity ‘going to a coffee shop’ comes up. Also since Korea has this hyped-up image of ‘Aesthetic cafe’ which shows that not only the coffee is often important but the entire image surrounding the act of buying it is.
As nice it is to see such cheap prices on campus for coffee, the fact that the Korean population has an higher average intake of double the global average intake, is shown in many ways.
Before I came to Korea, I heard about the extreme hype surrounding coffee consumption. At first I just thought how unserious and funny this coffee addiction was. However when coming to Korea, it truly showed a more addicting side to it.

In the article above it is stated that in Korea “In 2023, annual per-capita coffee consumption reached 405 cups, more than double the global average of 152 cups”. Which explains the yearly average calculated for a single person.

This event of small kids with ages below ten dressing up like twenty year olds must feel wrong to some people. Especially as many don’t want to lay low for the male gaze, while this exact trend up the sexualisation of the small kids. Which I would argue is rather more encouraging than fighting it.
