It’s #TransgenderAwarenessMonth — a time to honor our transgender neighbors, friends, and family, and to recommit to a California where everyone can live authentically and safely.

To our Trans community: you belong, you are valued, and you are loved.

Showing, yet again, that it was never about immigrants doing it the “right way”, the Trump Administration cut funding previously granted to Catholic Charities to help immigrants navigate the immigration process and obtain citizenship.

Honored to celebrate with this incredible group of leaders last week at Emerge California’s “Women Leading the Way” event. Standing alongside Malia Cohen, Betty Yee, Rhodesia Ransom, and Mia Bonta reminded me how far we’ve come, and how important it is to keep fighting for equal representation.

Today, SCOTUS tossed out a bogus case from a close-minded city clerk trying to repeal same-sex marriage protections

Given Clarence Thomas’s history of anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric & fishy secret financial dealings, our community is relieved that the Court refused to entertain his extremist views.
