Paranormal Activity (2007) is a movie i watched a lot as a kid and rewatching it now makes me realize how much it affected my taste in horror, i also have no idea why it reviews so low i think its incredible and very actually scary - yes its slow but thats also the Whole Point Of The Entire Film

also i dont think hes a pedophile, hes like krueger and afton in that he targets exclusively kids. by nature of that theres a lot of interpretations that think of them as being literally/symbolically creeps but i think the intended feeling is more meant to represent good old fatherly beatings

TLDR: im a big albert shaw guy

i think the grabber is a deeply pathetic villain who exists to remind us that killing Isnt Hard - fictional or otherwise famous serial killers are always "good at it", Jason Voorhees is big and strong, Ted Bundy was sexy and charismatic. Albert Shaw has nothing, hes not strong, hes not charismatic, hes not even very smart, but he gets away with it regardless because killing isnt hard and thats scary

The Grabber feels like an "industry plant" because the grabber wants really really badly to be feared so in the first film he has very little sauce because hes not really Meant to have sauce, youre not supposed to fear the mask like you do with Michael Myers or Springtrap, youre supposed to fear the fact that even someone like him could be a killer, i think thats an incredibly cool concept

in the sequel he has more Slasher Aura and comes off as more physically intimidating by nature of not actually being physically present which i think is executed very well, it also gives him potential to feel really cool in something like DBD
