It’s Christmas baking season!

O is not impressed that his haircut fell on the coldest day of the season so far!

AB premier and education minister are doing telephone town hall with teachers. Shockingly enough, they pretend not to understand critical comments in the questions. 🤔

My dog has taken a sudden dislike to Hallmark Christmas movies. The poor guy won’t stop growling at the tv. 🤣

Daniele Smith, Queen of the dog whistle.

OMG Smith is talking about book bans again. 🤦‍♀️

I’m regretting bailing on my plan for a quick run to Costco when they first opened this morning but it was minus 20 Celsius and I just couldn’t force myself out of bed.

I went crazy with Black Friday shopping this morning. Looking forward to those furnace filters 🤣

AB teachers have been invited to a telephone town hall with Smith and Nicolaides next week. They now have 90 minutes to hear about class size and complexity. Time they couldn’t find during over a year of negotiations, 16 school days of strike, or when 30 000 of us brought our message to the Leg. 😡

I know that Bill isn’t real, but I still admire him for not rage quitting when my first five turns resulted in yahtzees!

November 11 always reminds me of my grandparents. My Grandpa served with the RAF, and my Grandma took on roles not usually open to young women in Canada at the time. Their stories continue to shape me.

It’s Christmas market season! I saw these off duty reindeer at the Millarville Christmas Market in AB. It was pretty peoply, but always a nice outing.

UCP says they’ll have a committee to look at classroom complexity issues and that committee will guide their decision to hire 3000 new teachers. Hmmm. They already have a solution. Now they just need to manipulate the data to fit it. 🤔

Had some fun today with the unexpected snow!

So, if this new law passes, kindergarten assessments will be mandatory in Alberta. Strangely enough, attending kindergarten is not. 🤔

What a shock that the UCP’s Covid vaccine suppression plan has resulted in Albertans unable to find a vaccine at any price. How long until Covid overwhelms our hospitals again?

The Halloween leftovers sure taste waxy. No one expects top quality chocolate in mini bars, but they’re barely edible.

I’m appreciating my foresight in moving this morning’s obligation from 9 to 10, but wishing I’d said 11. Between baseball, Halloween, and a truly dramatic work week, I’d happily hide in bed a while longer!

Well this game just more exciting!!

Sure not a lot of kids out for a warm Friday Halloween.
November 1, 2025 at 2:06 AM
Halloween is infrequent enough that my dog forgets he enjoys it until we’re about ten kids in. Now he’s showing up at the door for pets after failing to intimidate the first few kids.

Could Vlad jr make this look any easier?

For no particular reason, here‘s a photo of the Alberta classroom I returned to today. 🧐

Well this game is looking better. Go Jays!
