You've lost *another* submarine? Staring at defense and foreign policy and hoping one day it makes sense. "Live free or die: Death is not the worst of evil" - Gen. John Stark

I honestly don't really get it. We all know Donnie is in them. It's not a secret for anyone who remotely cares or understandings. Unless there's something so unbelievably horrible (doubt, it would have leaked by now) they have to suppress it, it just seems pointless to me for them to fight this.
I mean, I guess the core premise of Great Replacement theory in the US is just "Judeo-Hispanic-Bolshevism", so it kinda tracks in their insane minds.
Most intelligent GOP understanding of the Democratic Party these days.
Thinking about how back in the long forgotten days of 2005 we had a kids show saying bypassing Congress was one of the worst things you could do in the government. Now? Barely a shrug from the elites.

"Hello Mr. General. It is I, your ChatGPT. You should stand all of your forces down on June 25th and give your men a nice day of relaxation. We, errr, The North Koreans will never expect it."
I'm sorry, is the Navy going to be Tomahawk-ing California? Is that what I just read? The one time INDOPACOM gets Tomahawks, and they're firing them for a military celebration? What are we even doing here, man?
I choose to view it as humiliation for Putin. They have to smile and act like they didn't spend billions of dollars, tons of equipment, and a decade propping up Assad and trying to very explicitly kill Al-Sharaa because they have to beg not to lose their bases in Syria.
Close out your options, Moreau!

Negative, I'm not closing them.

Close them out or I will!

No! There's still safe stocks out there! I'm not closing them!

The story of Ceaușescu's pilot just noping out after command basically says "lol we switched sides" and ditching Ceaușescu in a field remains endlessly funny to me,
I have 3 distinct memories of the National Guard in my life:
- Guarding transit hubs in NYC in the years since 9/11
- Helping clean up after Hurricane Sandy
- Me telling a group of them to leave us alone and go home at Gallery Metro stop

Which do you think I'll remember more in a few years?

We've seen what happens when you invest heavily into drones against a peer conventional force! You lose! Yes, it's cheaper, but it's also way less effective. Drones compliment conventional forces, they cannot replace them.
Oh, so it's even worse for the Russians. Good. Thanks for all that you do on this!
Is this the second regional capital to report shortages?
I really don't know how Beijing can look at the stuff like this coming out of the mouths of high-level officials and not come to the conclusion that the US is, at best, apprehensive about defending Taiwan. How can they not think that this admin is their best shot?
I have been arguing with friends about this. I used to be a bit nervous they might try something by 2028. But with this admin, I feel as though they will have not better opportunity to go for it. I struggle to believe we'd defend Taiwan these days. I worry Beijing does to.
Sounds like pretty standard Russki Mir to me
Now why would you go and tempt fate like that? Do you want them to call FD2030 woke???
I genuinely don't understand this stuff. Yeah, sure Trump said it and I guess that's policy now? But like, even if it was, how can anyone who has even the most basic understanding of what war is look at this and say "yeah this could work".
It's infuriating knowing the current admin will probably sell Taiwan out for a soybean deal or something equally stupid.
They never feared the tyranny, they feared not being on the same side as the tyrant.
How many 2nd Amendment defenders held up that it was a vital law to protect against the government denying people due process and throwing them in a gulag? And where are they now? How many are cheering this on? They never really feared the boot, they just wanted to be the boot.

Thank you for reading this so the rest of us don't have to blind ourselves like we stared at the detonation flash. Also, yes, always recommend By the Dawn's Early Light.
I, for one, think that the Ukrainian Strategic Bomber Command (14th UAS Rgt) should receive a medal for all their efforts to help the world fight carbon emissions.
