The hardest part of freelancing isn’t the work.

It’s explaining to your family that you’re not "free" just because you work from home.

Never start a project without securing an upfront payment. A deposit of 20%-50% shows the client is serious and protects you from unpaid work. It also ensures both parties are equally committed to the project.

Productivity isn’t about doing everything—it’s about doing the right things. Here’s how I try to keep my life together (most of the time) 🧵

I thought AI might finally put an end to SEO, but nope—here comes GEO! Fun times ahead. 😅 Is anyone already diving into GEO optimization?

I’m basically stuck paying Webflow $60 a month forever because I have 124 unhosted sites, and I’d have to delete them all if I wanted to downgrade my account. Nice move 👌

School trains you to think like everyone else—it kills creativity.

Break free from the mold by questioning everything, exploring, and thinking outside the box.

Your unique perspective is your superpower. Use it to create, innovate, and rewrite the rules.

Rise. Grind. Thrive. Repeat. 🚀

Most people think that working longer hours means getting more done.

But the truth is, if you’re not focusing on the right tasks, all that effort goes to waste.

Hustle culture glorifies nonstop grinding, but true productivity is about making an impact, not just clocking hours.

Spent the last two days testing about 10 different time-blocking apps, and honestly, none of them really worked.

Tried Motion, Akiflow, Structured, TickTick, Sunsama, and a bunch more. Crazy how, even in late 2024, Apple Calendar still feels like the best option.

Hiring staff was the worst decision I made in my business.

If I could start over, I’d never hire employees. I’d go all-in on outsourcing instead.

Outsourcing gives you flexibility, reduces stress, and keeps costs predictable. Perfect for scaling without the headache.

Sometimes I feel like we were never supposed to work, but it’s been enforced for so long that it feels normal.

Now AI might change that completely—take the grind away, reshape everything.

I can’t decide if that’s a good thing or not. Is that freedom, or just another way to lose control?

Simplify to amplify.

Stop trying to do it all yourself—it’s slowing you down.

For example, partner with an SEO expert instead of spending hours figuring it out alone.

Focus on what you do best, and let the rest go.

Stop waiting for people to notice your talent. Show your work, tell your story, and position yourself as the go-to expert. If you don’t own your narrative, someone else will.

Go set the standard. Show up, give your best, lead the way, and make it count.

I like to rotate my subscriptions, like Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV+, and so on. I don’t watch enough TV to justify subscribing to all of them, so I pick one service and switch it every month or so. Don’t pay for stuff you’re not using.

I’m a productivity nerd—anyone else?

Life tip: Never reveal your real budget, and if possible, avoid sharing it altogether. When others know exactly what you’re working with, it limits your flexibility and can put you at a disadvantage. Keeping your budget private allows you to negotiate more effectively and stay in control.

What if your biggest client left tomorrow?

Don’t rely on a single income source. Start diversifying—create online courses, templates, or digital products from your expertise. These aren’t just side hustles; they’re lifelines.

Build multiple streams now, before you need them.

I had to make this. Who can relate? 😂

If you’re working 24/7 and calling it ‘hustle,’ you’re not growing—you’re burning out.

Invest time and energy in hobbies outside of freelancing. Whether it’s hiking, baking or learning a new skill, hobbies make you more creative, reduce stress, and remind you that life exists beyond deadlines.
