Okay I've tried drawing Bradamante, well she's turning out beautiful that's for sure... for someone with that name, all three lines about her give the impression of a tragic maiden more than a warrior of any kind so I'm going with that sort of look

I hate AI but I also hate bad localizations (FFXIV LOL) is it really too much to ask a real person to convey the original script in another language while not changing the personalities or omitting info or changing info or inserting inappropriate pop culture refs etc.?

I know about LRT! That bird is mentioned in Abe no Seimei Monogatari when describing Douman and Rika’s relationship! I have a copy with a ton of footnotes and there was one explaining it.

The Linked-wing Birds are still well-known in Japan (and also in China, I think. We know them thanks to a Chinese poet 白居易)
They’re the symbol of a harmonious couple in the present age. It’s interesting that the ancient description says there will be floods when they appear. No happy vibes at all.

Every time the 7th Umbral Calamity is mentioned I always smile and think to myself Nael did that 💕
