We just got a look at the tee shirts we'll have for people to buy (limited quantities since we're self-funded) or order on Sat and wow, we're not spoiling that for everyone but they look AMAZING and we have to once again say how proud we are to be members of the local political awareness community.

Yet another loss for representational government today as the Senate Republicans decide that due diligence and thoughtful vetting of nominees is for suckers. This will allow the president's daughter-in-law to become the ambassador to Greece, among other wildly improper nominations.
Senate Republicans trigger 'nuclear option,' changing rules to speed up Trump nominees
The new rule, established by the GOP on party lines, will enable it to confirm Trump nominees in groups, rather than individually. It's the latest move to erode minority powers.

Trump summoned Nebraska's legislator to DC next week to join the push to eliminate representative government. Anybody remember the distant past of 2024 when states were up in arms about the federal government telling them how to perform their constitutional duties?

Do you ever watch something and think "damn, historians are going use this clip a lot in describing the moment we're in."

Anyway, here's another clip they'll use: nokings.org

This is embarrassing.

Trump hosted an oligarchs’ dinner at the White House last night. The main course was kissing his ring.

He’s going to take credit for investment plans they already made.

For the sixth month in a row, U.S. manufacturing activity shrank in August.

One manufacturer said they’re just trying to survive.

Didn’t the President say his tariffs would bring those jobs back to America and boost manufacturing?

US manufacturing activity contracts for sixth straight month in August: 'It's survival'
Data released Tuesday showed the US manufacturing sector continues to bear the brunt of uncertainty around tariff policy in the US.

We're calling on all our followers to contact your Congressional reps and demand they support HR Res 581 to release the files and let the voters know who from *every* political party the DOJ is so eager to protect.

Member story: "I once went on a date with a Rep political operative for GWB. Nice guy. He ended up taking me to a big dinner with his team and they spent the night boasting how they were going to make life better for Americans. It wasn't a DOJ official disclosing policy violations& pedo-conspiracy."

Funny how those America First policies to justify gutting foreign aid also started making sure America's kids go hungry. Our food banks are already struggling from cuts and will need a lot more support immediately.
Domestically and internationally, we have an agenda that is brazenly pro-starvation.

Cuts to SNAP benefits in President Trump's tax law begin on Monday, a historic change in government support for low-income American food shopping.

Ahead of Labor Day, a reminder that Donald Trump fired the head of Bureau of Labor Statistics because he didn't like accurate data that show's a stalling labor market under his reckless agenda.

Sometimes we must stop and say, "This isn't normal, and this isn't American." When President Trump claims he's the most popular president ever, but orders the National Guard to be ready in all 50 states to respond to protests, what is he expecting people in every state will be mad about?

I can't find the source this morning, but a few days ago I read the budget approved for the extrajudicial camps would be enough to end homelessness in America, plus provide free breakfast, lunch, and after school care programs for every student.
Funny how we will spend the $ to punish but not help.

Note that due to character limit, it's simply not possible to convey the horror of the what is happening between the institutional racism, denial of due process, denial of medical care, and other horrors that are coming to light. Please forgive us if we can't always encompass full scale in a post.
