Poppy has evolved from quirky pop satire into a genre-defying visionary blending metal, pop, and experimental stuff. Negative Spaces is her most cohesive work yet, merging metalcore with synthpop and alt-rock, while showcasing her emotional depth and vocal range.

STRYPER proves their staying power with When We Were Kings. Michael Sweet’s voice still soars, and the band plays tightly, delivering a mix of heavy riffs and melodic tracks. While not groundbreaking, their classic sound keeps the album fresh and enjoyable.

VENDED, led by Slipknot offspring Griffin Taylor & Simon Crahan, channels raw rage and energy on their debut. Blending nu-metal and metalcore, they deliver brutal riffs, emotional growls, and defiant hope. Though still finding their voice, this band has promise.

Devin Townsend’s 28th album Powernerd was written and recorded in just 2+ weeks. Blending Epicloud's positivity and Transcendence's vibe, the album balances spontaneity and routine. Though not his best, heartfelt tracks like Goodbye and quirky Ruby Quaker shine.

Body Count is stronger than ever after a decade-long resurgence. The album delivers familiar aggressive riffs and social commentary, with Ice-T leading the charge. Merciless reaffirms Body Count’s place as a powerhouse, evolving while staying true to their roots.

OCTOPLOID, the solo project of bassist Olli-Pekka Laine (Amorphis, Barren Earth, Mannhai), delivers a vintage yet fresh "hippie death metal prog" experience. The band crafts a sound that blends Elegy-era Amorphis, Kingston Wall, Opeth, and Finnish 70s prog rock.
