I've been saving all of my really big cardboard boxes for him to use under the house. (I have a pretty nice stash so far - fridge, freezer, stove, etc.)
He asked if that was so he could see them on it or feel them as he slid over them.

I told my son I wanted insulation under the floors & he said it wasn't necessary once the siding goes to the ground (pier & beam). Then we went through last winter & he agreed at least the north half needs it. Since it'll be him shinnying under there I kept my mouth shut.

Uggh! on having to go room-by-room redoing all the window framing, but YEA! on the foam board insulation. Where it's cold for extended periods it pays big dividends.

We're going to spray foam to seal the interior of our roof & back it up w/ 4" fiberglass insulation as it's our biggest heat gain.
