Thank you so much for the offer :)
Yeah, it is kinda scary not gonna lie. Thank you so much for offering to help. I appreciate it :)
It's funny you say that, cause I always wanted to host events - big or small. Maybe this is my sign to step out of my comfort zone and think about running events lol
I am not sure about others, but sometimes I have bad internet, and even purchasing higher internet plans doesn't do the job. And this alone can make any event a bad experience.

So yeah, I am hopeful for a better future, but for now, I hope to join more in-person events
Basically the map (or our mental models) leaves out a lot of reality. And if someone gets too attached to these, they would be doing more harm than good to themselves.

This reminds me of companies who obsess over metrics and nice numbers on screen when their users are frustrated with the website
I was reading this post highlighting how a person could have an outstanding resume that ticks all the boxes, but in reality is bad at their job.

This also reminds me of things in SEO like reporting or even keyword search volumes. Sure, the reporting looks nice, but the reality could be way worse.
I came across this new phrase today: "The map is not the territory".

From what I understood so far, our mental models/plans/theories are compressed versions of reality. At the same time, the reality (territory) is often different and messy.
Which cookie consent platform did you use?
While we're at it, why is it so hard to get visas for people like us *sobs*. I don't like that it adds another layer of complexity, and I am not even talking about traveling expenses
I loved reading this. I hardly attended any offline events, and only attended and been a guest and host of online events.

I totally agree with you about the internet and tools and stuff. I want to be able to attend in-person events cause I think they're much better.
Jokes on them cause my phone still shows LTE

Today, my brother saw a cat right outside our house, and we all got so excited that we tried approaching it.

The cat seemed so friendly, and when we offered it some plain yogurt, it came running and ate it so quickly.

I was so happy to have this little interaction :)
Our family used to have two cats, and now they're no longer with us. Those experiences made us so affectionate to them that whenever we see cats, our first instinct is to get closer to them, pet them, and give them some food.
What a coincidence, I am team Max too haha!

It was just cool to see Papaya guys here :)

And yeah, McLaren has done good work this year
So I guess the thing is that when it comes to going above and beyond, giving refunds or something else, do it. Because that's what's gonna keep the customers.

Let's face it: keeping a customer is much better than finding a new one.
At the same time, I have interacted with companies that don't give a damn about their customers and do not help them. This breaks my trust, and I make sure to never buy from them.
For example, some companies go above and beyond to help me, making me feel special as a customer. I am so happy to be their customer and do business with them, and I also tell all my friends how cool they are.
I can 100% attest to this because I have been very loyal to companies because of how they treat their customers. It's the reason I keep coming back.
I was reading about customer service and how customers often choose a company not because of its products, pricing, or features but because of its amazing customer service.
