Same reason it'd be nonsense to claim a phone isn't taking a photo because it has a connected camera unit - 'phones cant take pictures only their camera components can'.

I can't do math at all. So I use a calculator or I'll write code if it's a lot of math and feed the code the data.

An LLM can do exactly the same thing. So in effect instead of using math centers in the brain they use code to do math.

Basically you ask the LLM a question. It figures out that you need a math problem solved. It generates python code (script, not compiled), it sends that to a python sandbox, the sandbox runs the code and sends the result back to the LLM.

Yes they are. The guy who says Africa is above the USA is doing what ChatGPT does. He's generating incorrect information for whatever reason. He doesn't know so he generates nonsense.

ChatGPT has the ability to write code and run that code. The code does the math then returns the result.

I can also do that with basic C.

.\main.exe & echo %ERRORLEVEL% gives me the result.

So it can do math. Why are you arguing this?
