Acc to Google: Yes, some 🦎 can eat their tails, though it is rare. A 🦎 will drop its tail as a defense mechanism & sometimes it will eat the tail for the stored fat & energy. In captivity, a 🦎 may eat its own tail if it is stressed, sick or may accidentally swallow it after dropping it
