Vox, a fascist party which uses division and fear mongering, is the behind the traditional conservative party and has pushed them to adopting much of the fascist rhetoric. The two together would receive more votes than the Socialists, but also not a majority.

It's not really a valid comparison at this point in time. For decades after the transition, there were really only two parties and they had an unwritten pact to overlook the corruption. The most recent polls show the Socialists in the lead, but far from an absolute majority.

Dem leadership would rather push a 77-year-old to run as a first-time senator for a 6-year term rather than see a progressive economic populist in the Senate.

And CNN will frame it for them as a shoe-in.
