We shouldn’t have to say this in 2025: hunting human beings is illegal––like many of Frontex’s activities, from cooperating with the Hellenic Coastguard to sharing the location of migrant boats with Libya, for which we have taken the agency to Court.

@freedomflotilla.bsky.social responded to a distress case. Notorious Libyan militia Tariq Ben Zeyad intercepted the boat; 4 people jumped into the sea and are now safe onboard Flotilla‘s Madleen. The 🇬🇷 coastguard must prevent a pullback by TBZ & take over the 4 people to let the Madleen proceed!

Während des Pushbackversuchs, sah #Frontex zu und unternahm nichts. @eucourtofjustice.bsky.social wies die Klage ST vs. Frontex ab, da ein weiterer #Pushback gegen ST nicht „sicher“ sei. Für die Opfer von #Pylos war der Tod durch die „griech. Kollegen“ nur allzu sicher.

The “Hellenic colleagues” of Frontex’s Executive Director are charged with causing the shipwreck that killed 600+ asylum seekers—clearly a pushback attempt. To shield them, the ED flew to Athens the next day to publicly absolve:
“The Hellenic colleagues who give their utmost to save lives.”
