I signed a letter asking for Mahmoud Khalil’s immediate release.

We will not let this administration trample our constitutional rights and silence voices they don’t like.

The government may not recognize my history but best believe I will. I am Black history. Happy Black history month because without Black history there is no America.
The burning of the books is just the beginning.
My car battery dying overnight was not what I meant when I said “Jesus take the wheel”. 2025 just being so god damn extra!!
Black women remain the moral compass of this country. However, this country also remains steadfast in its dedication to undermine, belittling, and relegating Black Women to subhuman status. And we wonder why we continue to flounder and fail to be the country we pretend to be.
The number of times non-Black people try to say “they get me” and understand “my experience” by equating them not growing up wealthy is unnervingly high.

Being poor does not = the Black experience. Money is a necessary resource but it does not save us from what it means to be Black in Amerikkka

Did your child lose their book collection in the Los Angeles fires? Are you a teacher at a school that lost its library or your classroom library? Whether you need one book or a whole library, we can replace your books. 📚

Everyone else, please boost this post so we can connect with those in need. 🙏
These fires feel eerily similar to my Covid experience. I would like to live in precedented times.
Those cars terrify me. I steer clear of them.
You know an upside of masks is it thwarts facial recognition- since everyone is so worried about the government tracking their every move.

*sent from my iPhone with GPS, microphones, and multiple apps that track my location.
I did not win the mega millions so I guess
I will still be employed in 2025.
People’s obsession with Moo Deng going to have people out here trying to pet hippos like they try to pet bison

I really need people to stop adding me to listservs where the discussions are rife with anti-Black racism and anti-Black African xenophobia. Fully internalizing the Morrison quote in 2025, because these distractions are costly, and I'm learning that responding provides near zero return
