And it goes without saying but being an indie game makes me more likely to forgive the artistic pitfalls of Pokémon looking and sounding cheap, rather than being The Pokémon Company, a company that is does very well for itself every year.

Yeah that’s kind of what’s gotten me about all these Pokémon games on the Switch. They look pastel and plasticky and the music feels like cheap demos, and while the games have never had like, the strongest art direction, being 2D and novel really helps a lack of art direction.

The Quiet Man sucks in ways you wouldn’t expect because you would expect it to have like very by the books combat but instead it has the most tedious combat ever. Also it looks like shit and is incomprehensible and kind of all in on a bad idea.

I think I realize what makes this Randy tweet feel so incomprehensible. It’s the complete lack of any articles next to the nouns. It’s a necessity of the format, but it also makes it sound like Randy is like livedrafting terms he might put in the adcopy through a tweet.

I think, it would be pretty easy to explain to him in barebones, “what thoughts lead one to the concept?” terms. explaining the cultural context would be kind of difficult. and maybe getting Dante to understand his work is not only widely popular, but as the populace see it, attached to the Bible.

yup. I see this a lot, where the art seems kind of uninterested in actually *having them do romantic things* like kiss or something and it’s mostly just them doing close friend stuff, but they occasionally blush or get flustered in potentially inappropriate situations.
