My weekend project was trying out #PicoIDE on my Amiga 1200. It mostly works, just needs a few tweaks. Thanks to the Amiga community who knows this machine way better than I do!
#picoide !! And for Amigas! I missed news of this, catching up on Discord. So exciting, Ian!
It will take me a sec, but I will do this - my computer with @polpo.org 's PicoGUS doesn't have a case, so it is just assembled in a cardboard box right now. But I have a synthesizer I really want to accept MIDI from that card and your program. Just for the pure nerd points of it!
Passing out Toblerone "Oops! All Gaps!" tonight. Disappointed, Leonardo?? Welcome to the real world, jackass
One awesome thing about Ernie Clement being in the World Series is hearing that Rochester accent for interviews, which is pretty rare for us, I love it. Philip Seymour Hoffman and John Lithgow kind of dropped it and they waited until after Susan B. Anthony died to invent the microphone. #bluejays

I made a new MSDOS utility, the MIDI Sniffer:

* takes in MIDI in
* reroutes to: MIDI out, PC Speaker, or OPL2
* supports polyphony

This is truly awesome and something I hope to get working on my DOS system of my own soon. And I love the heads-up on the MIDI port of the Rock Band controller! 😀
Ugh. Sorry, man. I think we talked about this on your BBS, the fail condition of water heaters being "dump it all out" is so unacceptable. Two years! The designer for this trash should be legally obligated to fly out and man a bucket.
Game 30: BuGS (Rand-Emonium Software, 2021)

An awesome recreation of the arcade game Centipede for your Apple IIGS. Having been squashed once by the full-size arcade cabinet, I found this version to be pleasant and painless.

Love it. I'm reading your posts and thinking that as a remote worker manager in IT, this game is like helping people get unstuck over Slack. This is the game that's aged the best as far as I'm concerned. Berlyn was 40 years ahead of his time.

I'll also give my regular shoutouts to DOS Game Club for talking about DOS games (they're playing Halloween Harry right now)

And Adventure Game Hotspot just launched a forum now that Adventure Gamers is dead

You make good points (about a lot of things, really), but I'm also really glad you are on Mastodon.

If this place was a forum and I saw the admin post like this one's CEO did, I'd leave and delete the bookmark.
I am bad with directions. I use Waze every day. I appreciate it. For me, it's a miracle.

An "I got it from here" toggle where it shuts up when you're within 5 miles of home, instead of it dutifully announcing the turns I do know, would be wonderful.
It's great, I have been playing it on a real Apple // and it's so good - the sense of "flow" is perfected between running around and fighting bad guys. I did have to get the guide/hint book though, as the game world was so big I was getting lost!
I missed Timberborn completely - thanks! I'm checking it out!
I uploaded Dinosaur Jr. vs the 1960s by Devi Ever to the Internet Archive.

Right, my favorite team already can't win in whatever stadium they use, I'm half-expecting to now see a future headline of "Varsho out tonight with a drown"
Game 28: Banished (Shining Rock Software, 2014)

While well-reviewed, Banished made more reviewers angry than I would have expected. I went in on the easiest level, clicked around my little forest and enjoyed my time. The world created anger, Banished didn't.

If you're a fan of the movie Sneakers, the late Robert Redford (RIP) or just geeky things, you can ssh into [email protected] and watch the movie in glorious 24-bit colour ANSI :) Enjoy!
Likewise! Your game looks freaking great, and the sort of thing I love playing 😀
