So many #Galaxy around #MarkariansChain! Captured at 250mm f4 over about 4 hours from a Bortle 3-4 sky.
The #WhaleGalaxy #NGC4631 at 1700mm f7 over about 220 minutes.
Another take of the #TotalLunarEclipse last night. Super thankful for a bit of good weather in the middle of a bunch of rain.

I'm fascinated by this music/video made with AI to tell the story of mixing AI with Human art. All of the broken AI that would normally be distracting is part of the story...

4c and rainy in #PalmSprings last night means snow in the hills.
I grabbed a #Timelapse out at #GMARS this weekend, and threw together a quick #StartTrails from the same clip. Fun to watch it build.

Ah… this was captured with my Hyperstar, and I didn’t compensate. With it I remove the secondary mirror from my EdgeHD and replace it with my camera, so the image gets flipped. I have to flip the image to get many software tools to understand the image.
People don’t follow text these days, only links. Feels like the responsible thing to do on social media is to help those you borrow from.
A while ago I made some #StarTrails images, and I also made this video of them forming. The video shows all of the scars from the planes and satellites forming, where in the resulting image that can be stripped out.

It feels a bit like stealing when you don’t link back to the image owner. @astrobackyard.bsky.social
Funny, I saw the exact thing in the same place.
The #HamburgerGalaxy captured at #GMARS in the California desert this last weekend.

Love the desert nights. The sky was ok last night, but not perfect. Clouded near the horizon.
In mediocre skies this week end I got a wide shot of the #FlamingStarNebula, #TadpoleNebula, #SpiderNebula, #TheFlyNebula, and the #StarfishCluster which are fairly tightly grouped.

Just back from a night in the desert. Hope to have something new to share after processing. Here are a few #iPhone snaps I took while out there.

So many #Nebula call for a creature or thing seems pretty arbitrary. The #PelicanNebula actually seems to make sense to me from this angle.

#Moths have such amazing fur/feathers/scales. They are so incredible up close.

#Macro #Bugs
#M16 the #EagleNebula, and #M17 the #OmegaNebula or #SwanNebula were close enough to each other that I could get them both in frame with this #RedCat51 telescope.

After posting this here... I saw it on another device, and noticed it had a green cast, so I took another run at it to strip that out. These sensors seem to bias more green than desired.
Thank you! It’s an endless journey to try to get that right.
In the core of the #ElephantTrunkNebula there is this silhouette that looks more like a person than an elephant to me. Captured in #OneShotColor this target comes through mostly red. In Narrowband these other colors are revealed. #LAAS #Astro #Astrophoto #Astrophotography #Space #ZWO
The #WizardNebula captured with cooled, color #Astrophotography camera. These tend to provide simple color palettes, mostly in red where they see #Hydrogen with a bit of blue where they see #Oxygen.

The #LagoonNebula is the perfect target to look for after Orion and Andromeda. Its fairly bright and has a lot of detail for many different #Telescope sizes.
Thanks Justin. Very nice of you to say.
