Airline exits also stabilized at 28, matching the number of new market entrants.

Aircraft departures/arrivals in Europe rose by 8% in 2017-2025, but growth varied widely.

Sweden and Germany saw sharp declines, while southern markets like Portugal, Türkiye, Spain, and Italy grew by 17–22%; Serbia, Poland, and Hungary expanded even faster.

Global passenger demand rose 5.3% YoY, driven by a 7.1% increase in int'l traffic and a 2.4% rise in domestic demand. Overall load factor reached 83.6%, a record for full-year traffic.

This returns growth to align w/ historical growth patterns after post-COVID rebound.
