I’m currently on the train to Glasgow to go-host All Day Horror Madness at the glorious GFT. Very healthy ticket sales mean that Screen One is going to be packed with people for five horror movies in a row. ‘Tis the season!

Thanks to Christopher Owens for taking the time to write this review of my book. 👍
Looks good. Where are you?
I'll be on the @nicolameighan.bsky.social Afternoon Show on BBC Radio Scotland again this afternoon. Probably from an earlier time of around 3.15. I should hopefully get to mention some retro movies for Halloween. We'll also be discussing 'The Mastermind' and 'Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere'.

"There's a man out there!"

First heard on October 11, 1963.

Celebrating 62 years of one of the most iconic Twilight Zone episodes ever aired: "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet."

A toast to Richard Matheson and William Shatner for this piece of TV history!

Thanks Jon. Very good of you to take a break from writing your colossal number of books for a bit of socialising. 👍
Speaking as someone who spent several school years loving the idea of becoming a werewolf, I was thoroughly entertained by Stewart Lee Vs The Man-Wulf at the Edinburgh Playhouse tonight. But I think the show is tremendous even for those without a former lycanthropy obsession.

RIP, Robert Redford. Love your films, but Twilight Zone fans will always toast your sweet turn as Mr. Death. May you be welcomed just as warmly.

"I don't prefer to look back at my earliest efforts, but I have to admit I'm proud of that one."

Reviews of the Hamish Macbeth book continue to trickle in… if you’re a fan of the show or want to know more about how TV was made in the 1990s, I think you’ll enjoy this one.
I’ve been lucky enough to host plenty of Q&As over the years, but one of the real highlights has been my conversation with Terence Stamp at the Cameo Cinema in 2013. Despite his slightly fearsome reputation, he was a delight to spend time with. Very sad to hear the news of his passing.

It’s a good time to stock up on copies of my Highlander book on Amazon, it’s only £3! Dozens of interviews with cast and crew, including the barman in the NYC pub and the bloke who does the backflips near the start (and Lambert, Brown, Mulcahy and two members of Queen)!
I knew nothing would stop you. The Grand Master of ticket purchasing.

Covering The Muppet Show, Fraggle Rock, Labyrinth, Dark Crystal, The Storyteller and many more, my new book of interviews with creatives who either worked alongside Jim Henson or on his productions is now available in paperback and ebook:

Paperback: amzn.eu/d/b99EAB4
Ebook: amzn.eu/d/huZMlM7
What was it really like working with Jim Henson? I spent years tracking down the puppeteers, writers, directors and other creatives who helped bring the magic to life. Their stories became Rainbow Connections: Volume One, out 31st July 🌈

Thanks @glasgowfilmtheatre.bsky.social for inviting me to introduce a sold out 35mm screening of Local Hero tonight - in the audience was Caroline “Pauline the punk” Guthrie who told us it was the most enjoyable job she’s ever had.
