It’s time to make it official: I’m running for re-election.

Marylanders need a governor who will continue to look out for them and stand up for our jobs, our health care, and our rights.

So, let’s get to work! wesmoore.com/donate

As our family and friends in Jamaica brace for one of of the most intense hurricanes to ever hit its shores, I join the Caribbean diaspora in praying for the safety of everyone in the path of Hurricane Melissa.

May God protect our loved ones and keep them safe. 🇯🇲
Got the Ravens right away — that’s easy.💜 The Titans threw me off, but hey, not everyone’s unforgettable 😅 Let’s get this win against the Bears! #RavensFlock

While our public servants are missing paychecks and military families are lining up at food banks across Maryland, President Trump is moving full steam ahead on his $250 million ballroom. It’s obvious: this administration is not serious about helping working people.
The White House said on Tuesday it will submit plans for President Donald Trump's $250 million White House ballroom project to a body that oversees federal building construction, even though demolition work began earlier this week reut.rs/4ndTcfL
I’m not interested in playing political games. I’m interested in doing what’s fair for Maryland.

If the President is going to put his finger on the scale to try and manipulate elections, Maryland will do its part to make sure our maps are fair.
During this shutdown, I’m working to make sure our families get the support they need — and that no Marylander falls through the cracks. We’re going to keep showing up, keep finding solutions, and keep standing with the people who make this state strong.
Marylanders deserve to know we’ve got their back.
Proud to endorse @jaredlittmann.bsky.social for Mayor of Annapolis — a proven leader who’s dedicated to serving his community and strengthening our capital city.
I’m honored to have the endorsement of the Maryland State Education Association, which represents over 76,000 educators across our state.

Together, we’ve delivered record funding for Maryland’s schools, and together, we’ll keep investing in our students and educators.
From Maryland to New Jersey, we’re united with one goal – making sure every voice is heard at the ballot box. Proud to stand with @MikieSherrill and community members in Newark to get out the vote. Let’s finish strong this November! 💙
I’ve spent a lot of time traveling this state and I’d like to think I know Maryland pretty well. So I put my knowledge to the test… 👀

Our national parks are our greatest heirlooms — meant to be cared for and shared with the next generation. Shutdowns don’t protect them, they punish the families, workers, and communities who love them most.

On Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we honor the Native communities who’ve shaped Maryland for generations.

Maryland stands committed to truth, equity, and partnership with indigenous peoples. Not just today, but every day.
That’s the kind of work I’ll continue to deliver on in our next term.
Our firefighters literally walk through fire to keep us safe — and I’ll always have their backs.

Since taking office, I’ve signed laws and agreements that mandate cancer screening coverage and to make sure our firefighters get the benefits they’ve earned.
The only thing they have done is defend the people of Chicago and Illinois against the President’s misuse of the National Guard.
The President’s calling for the jailing of a Democratic Governor and Mayor is uncalled for and unconstitutional.

@chicagosmayor.bsky.social and @govpritzker.illinois.gov are good men.
Families are worried, paychecks are frozen, and communities are hurting — all because of political games.

Here’s some of my thoughts about how we got here and what needs to happen next:

Why did Washington look at us and say, “You’re on your own”?

Because the President of the United States couldn’t close a deal on making health care more affordable.

ONCE AGAIN: Republicans control the White House and both chambers of Congress.

They have the power to keep the government open.

This shutdown will severely harm Maryland’s farmers and small business owners.

It will disrupt funding for crucial benefits like WIC – which supports 183,000 Marylanders.

Hundreds of thousands of federal workers and government contractors could miss paychecks — or see their jobs eliminated.

I know there is real and justified fear in our communities. The firings. The high prices. And the shutdown.

But in Maryland, we never let fear stop us from protecting each other. In the military, I learned to live by the motto Leave No One Behind.

Right now, that is exactly what we need to do.

Our federal workers want to serve. And we are working hard to help them to do it.
