Bernie isn’t a Democrat and has no interest in promoting the Democrats. Is he more successful? Maybe as a brand but for a guy who has been in politics for his entire life, he never built an organization or got anyone elected. Democrats are a 1000 times more successful than any leftist.
The man is 41. A full adult for 23 years, and has he ever done anything politically? Signed a petition, volunteered for a candidate, donated to a cause? Has he ever voted? Is an interest in politics too much to ask for in a political candidate?
