Oh! He is an interesting character, for sure. But it does make sense that perhaps you would not have encountered him. Call of the Wild is still widely read here but not all that much of the rest of his work.

love old books. this is a 1911 edition of jack london’s cruise of the snark. i pulled it, because it has london’s account of seeing surfing at waikiki just as the sport was being revived.
