i think it has to do with how that kind of dynamic only really works for me if the relationship is all-encompassing to the characters (see: odysseus and penelope where their love for one another is constantly reiterated) whereas we haven't seen either characters mention anything of that sort

i'm pleasantly surprised by how active hazbin hotel or just the hellaverse in general is here on bluesky considering how dead my timeline was before i got into this series. i'd log in once a month and a tumbleweed would pass by
