We are excited to announce the creation of the Coates-Humphreys NAASE Distinguished Research Award, with Dennis Coates and Brad Humphreys as the inaugural winners. It will be given in odd-numbered years (the Hadley Award is given in even-numbered years). Congrats Brad & Dennis!
These findings suggest that residents may prefer sport facilities in their broader region, but not near their homes. This study offers a generalizable approach using driving-time measures and contributes to the literature on monetary valuation in Asia.
Findings indicate no significant influence on housing prices during or immediately after the event. While driving-time proximity suggested potential influence within 20 minutes of sport venues, no statistically significant effect on nearby housing prices was found.
