One of the scariest parts about this whole situation is that all the people involved would face serious jail time if there was any sort of accountability, even if they decided to stop now and act decently. So they have no reason to stop and every reason to escalate things further.

I want a future where instead of taking to a doctor, I walk through a series of rooms with dogs trained to sense different medical conditions. If they alert, I’ll talk to a human, otherwise it’s just an hour or so of hanging around with some cool pups then a self checkout.

Aside from the obvious direct harm, what's so irritating is that a handful of spoiled ignorant assholes are breaking things that we all built together. They weren't content to own almost everything, they had to wreck what little they didn't own. It's vandalism on a mass scale and has to be punished
