I may have spoken to her yesterday, Mike. Stay in touch. We may be able to figure something out.
Mike, whereabouts are you? Maybe we can figure something out.
A little news. Today, I met with Adrian Sciarra, president of the @ottawaredblacks.com, and my new book, An Unlikely Story, will be in their merch shop at Lansdowne in time for their last game on Saturday. There are limited copies there right now, but if they sell out, they know where to get more.
With the anniversaries of so many fall baseball accomplishments and the coming of a new documentary on the team, we looked back at the life and memories that were created by the Montreal Expos. The guys examine the history of the club. Listen wherever you get your podcasts or through the link below.
"...rich in detail, a highlight for CFL enthusiasts and sports history buffs...a heartfelt tribute to a team that captured the spirit of underdog perseverance...a must read for Ottawa CFL fans and anyone who loves a good sports miracle story."
-- from the CFL Ottawa Alumni Association newsletter.
After the hockey last night, I watched the John Candy film. It's as good as advertised. There's a lot of stuff I already knew but the commentary from his wife, his kids, his contemporaries...that makes the movie. See it if you can.
Found these tonight when I was looking for something else.....
I became aware this week of a review of my new book, An Unlikely Story, in the CFL Ottawa Alumni Association newsletter. I'm absolutely humbled by their kind words. Here it is. You can get my book on Amazon. (Christmas is coming.) a.co/d/cfO7Gen

Thanksgiving weekend in 1981, the Ottawa Rough Riders were in Edmonton to play the Eskimos. In the opening game for each team, Warren Moon led his team to a 47-21 win. In October, it was 24-6. But there were positives for Ottawa. Get my latest book, An Unlikely Story, on Amazon. a.co/d/iK0m5Gn

Every time I see Brandon Marsh, I think of the House of David baseball team that barnstormed early in the 20th century. Go watch the Ken Burns' Baseball episode on them. It's interesting.

Autumn in Wakefield....
My book, An Unlikely Story, about the '81 Ottawa Rough Riders has received some amazing comments.
A former CFLer told me, "I really enjoyed your book. Great how you used the sideline interviews and pre and postgame quotes to portray the players' feelings about the (Grey Cup) game."

It's getting darker earlier now. Get some good reading in. My latest book is An Unlikely Story, about the 1981 Ottawa Rough Riders. The team started slow, but put things together and got to the Grey Cup. It was the last good Rough Rider team. Read the story. Get the book here.
