An immigration judge granted Ruben Torres Maldonado bond on Thursday, releasing him from ICE detention. His 16-year-old daughter, Ofelia, is undergoing cancer treatment.

Illinois has 14,197 permanent supportive housing units that have ended homelessness for the people who live in them. 60% of these homes (8,543) rely on federal funding from the Continuum of Care Program that the is facing budget cuts and drastically bad policy changes.
