1. Get you to warmly embrace the Horizon League
2. Encourage the liberal use of the #HLMBB and #HLWBB tags
3. Be okay with Wright, Cleveland and Youngstown not being states
4. Reinforce that Jack Gohlke is a damned folk hero

Penguins Hoops Swept in Home Doubleheader
The Youngstown State basketball teams got swept on their home court Saturday afternoon at Zidian Family Arena at Beeghly Center, marking the second time this season that both teams have lost games on the same day. The women's basketball team (17-8, 10-5 Horizon) suffered a tough 54-51 defeat against defending women's champion Green Bay (20-5, 15-0 Horizon) in a battle of the conference's top two teams, while the comeback for the men's team (12-13, 5-9 Horizon) fell short in their 72-66 defeat at the hands of the Robert Morris Colonials (16-10, 8-7 Horizon) — the defending men's champions.

Cleveland State rolled past Purdue Fort Wayne on Saturday, shutting down the Mastodons in the second half with an effort that Chris Kielsmeier called "as good as we've defended all year."

Vikings Lock Down Purdue Fort Wayne: Five Observations
Cleveland State collected a stunningly-decisive 73-56 victory over Purdue Fort Wayne in the Wolstein Center on Saturday afternoon, helping the Vikings keep pace in an extremely competitive Horizon League race. Here are five things that stood out, as the green and white improved to 18-8 overall, and 8-7 in conference play: 1. Chris Kielsmeier nearly always leads by talking about his team's defense – even when directly asked about its offense – and after beating PFW, he had more reason to do so than normal.

We'll have words with any of you who speak ill of Rudy and his platform, which is outstanding, in our opinion. Or we'll just block you because of your ignorance.
Lots of secret hostility.
- Rudy is a hack
- Blacksky is a semi-proprietary ethnocentric social network just “popping up”
- Blacksky is masquerading as fully open source

would you all like me to still speak at #AtmosphereConf this year?

I don’t have to.

No need to keep this under wraps. When @bobmcdonaldwrites.com returns full-time on 2/15, he'll be writing about Wright State (maybe more teams!) for the rest of the regular season and into the #HLMBB tourney.

Thanks to two late threes by Kamy Peppler, Green Bay survived a slow start at Robert Morris on Wednesday and remained unbeaten in Horizon League play. Eric Fischer has the recap.
Peppler’s Heroics Lift Phoenix Past Colonials
In sports, people often say, it isn't how you start, but how you finish that is the most important. It's a cliche that is older than anyone reading this piece, but one that once again showed why it is a tried and true sentiment. In Thursday's matinee contest between the visiting Green Bay Phoenix and the Robert Morris Colonials, Green Bay was able to weather the storm and pulled out a thrilling 61 to 58 win over the Colonials.
