The DIY PC market is hurting, but it's not completely dead. It DOES require much more creativity now though.

Would be very funny if the BROWNS hired the guy who looks exactly like Johnny Manziel if Johnny Manziel didn’t party and went to bed at 9 pm

The direction I WISH game devs would take AI is to organic conversation for NPCs. Imagine if you could type or even SPEAK to an NPC with a mic and it would talk back uniquely based on pre-defined information that NPC has. www.theverge.com/podcast/8633...

My concern is that there must be a pretty limited market for these types of devices. Small companies need to make these devices profitable to stick around.

First QWERY phone impressions. You notice the loss of vertical space a TON

Well well well. Let the QWERTY fun begin

Is 2026 *checks notes* the year of the QWERTY smartphone? Clicks Communicator, Titan 2 (already on the market as of late 2025), and Titan 2 Elite (pictured). How do we feel about full keyboard phones? #Unihertz #Clicks #Smartphone

I reference this book all the time. It's a great argument (the audiobook is recommended).
Broke: America is a violent, expansionist empire but we tell ourselves we're not
Woke: Damn straight we're a violent, expansionist empire and we're not not going to hide it anymore

If you have a backup PC (laptop maybe?), start there. Go with something safe (Bazzite, Fedora, Ubuntu, Linux Mint, etc.), and just try to make it your daily driver for a week. If you haven't tried Linux recently, you may be shocked at how straightforward it is. #Linux
I'm brave enough to say it: Linux is good now, and if you want to feel like you actually own your PC, make 2026 the year of Linux on (your) desktop
Now if you don't mind I'm going to delete the root folder and see what happens.

What a horrific time to be building a PC. Good grief. NVMe SSDs are going the way of DDR5

Story. We play my son "What Does the Fox Say," then Google randomly plays "Golden" after. During "Golden," my wife asks Google (Gemini) what the song playing is called. Gemini responds that it's playing "What Does the Fox Say" (obviously wrong). This is what we're destroying the earth for. #AI

The original Pixel had no camera bump, partially because it was slightly wedge shaped. Should this be explored more for current smartphones?

@techconnectify.bsky.social Sylvania mini LED lights at Target. Mass market lights that FINALLY put a warm white light behind a colored filter.

Underappreciated among techie people is just how important fit and finish for a product really is. My wife has a Framework 12, objectively a mid laptop in terms of specs and display. It's one of her favorite tech devices because of how polished the product is.

Looks like the Switch 2 is going for roughly $650 to $750 on the scalped market. Not as insane as I feared.

I would be shocked if the 9060 XT survives launch day with cards still in stock at close to MSRP the way the 5060 has.

14 months ago, I bought a brand new RTX 4060 for $299.99. Today that exact same listing is up to $429.99.
