Trump, Feeling Emboldened, Pushes Agenda Into Higher Gear

Today in Portland, a fed shooting pepper balls from the roof of the ICE facility was so eager to aim for people’s heads, that after shooting one photographer in the head and another in the upper arm, they accidentally shot a DHS agent in the head. This photo shows the moment of impact;
Riot cops standing a street with less-lethal weapons, and one in a gas mask has a cloud of pepper dust around his helmet.

I believe that Trump, Mike Johnson and Greg Abbott should not have started this and continued with it in multiple states to rig the midterms. No Democrats want this, but we can’t unilaterally disarm in the face of multiple threats to fair representation nationwide.

For the crypto degens who weren’t completely wiped out, they’re back to leveraging bets and being degens again.

Don’t feel sorry for them. They haven’t learned anything

Trump messes with the markets. Instead of punishing him, markets reward his behavior. And then, market participants wonder why he keeps doing it.

At some point, market participants are the idiots.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me again and again, shame on me.

There's no "regular politics" anymore because you can no longer maintain the idea that we all agree on common goals but we only differ about the means of getting there or whatever. The guys in charge now are plainly amoral, sadistic nihilists. They delight in it! You can't civilly disagree with that

Per WSJ, the Trump regime and Bannon are bragging they’re “ruling Congress with an iron fist” and that it is “largely ceremonial” like the Russian Duma.

Shameful. Not what the founders intended. 🇺🇸 @MarshaBlackburn @RepTimBurchett @AndyOgles

Pleasant day out in my neighborhood in Chicago. There was a farmer’s market and people are out strolling, chatting, and sitting out on porches. Just like every weekend.

Except now most of us are wearing whistles to alert neighbors if unidentified guys in tactical gear show up to kidnap people.

It sucks that healthcare costs will go up for everyone.

But on the margin, I don’t feel bad it’s happening to those who voted for Trump—they’ve caused so much pain on everyone that they don’t really deserve sympathy.

"I voted for Trump. I didn't expect [him to cut health care.]"
Longtime Florida insurance agent Alan Reynolds, 65, predicts many of his customers will allow their policies to lapse when the price hikes become clear. An independent who leans conservative, Reynolds, of Port St. Lucie, called Obamacare flawed but said he favors the continuation of the enhanced subsidies “and not pulling the rug out from under people.”

His family is also affected. The loss of his wife’s subsidy means she is likely to pay about $1,200 or more each month, up from about $500 in 2024, he said. “I voted for Trump,” Reynolds said. “I didn’t expect this.”

A 13-year-old boy was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Everett after an interaction with members of the Everett Police Department and sent to a juvenile detention facility in Virginia, according to his mother and immigration lawyer Andrew Lattarulo.

The boy’s mother, Josiele Berto, was called to pick her son up from the Everett Police Department on Thursday, the day he was arrested. After waiting for about an hour and a half, she was told her son was taken by ICE, Berto told the Globe in a phone interview.

“My world collapsed,” Berto said in Portuguese.

From the police department, the boy was taken to ICE’s holding facility in Burlington on Thursday evening, where he spent a night before being transferred by car to the Northwestern Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Winchester, Va., on Friday morning, his mother said. The juvenile facility is more than 500 miles away from Everett.

The boy is a 7th-grader at Albert N. Parlin School in Everett, his mother said. The teen and his family, who are Brazilian nationals, have a pending asylum case and are authorized to work legally in the United States, Lattarulo said.

“I … met with the governor, met with the mayor, met with the chief of police, and the superintendent of the highway patrol. They’re all lying, and disingenuous, and dishonest people,” Noem said, because they wouldn’t back up her baseless claims that the streets were overrun with terrorists.

We have armed secret police kidnapping people off the street based on the color of their skin.

When we win: we will haul them before a Senate committee. The masks will come off. There will be consequences.
