No that’s another house built in 1929. Pat Brown lived in the old 1877 Governor’s mansion. Nancy didn’t like it so they moved to 45th St. Reagan commissioned this one in Carmichael, a suburb of Sacramento, but never lived in it. And then Jerry lived in a rented apartment across from the Capitol.

My new 4th grade teacher was from KY (exotic for SoCal kid) so I invented a ridiculous back-story for me & my family to impress a lady from the South. At the p-t-s conference I was exposed as a fraud. More embarrassed than in trouble. Lesson learned -tell lies that can’t be easily refuted.
