Theyre pretening to be boyfriend/girlfriend and stuff (makans the boy and monokumas the girl in this relationship) but theyre ultimately their own thing I think yeah

But monokuma is like. A mascot character and she knows how hed act like so its kinda easier to predict what his next move would be+

The difference is monokuma hates her and is open about it for putting him in the same shtty boring situation as her and hes bored all the time and also she tried to make it a "I can fix him" thing (which is mostly kinda an excuse for liking him because ofc hes a monster)+

The basis of it is that its monokuma and someone who likes him (like how he says ingame sometimes)
But it also like shes relatively normal and not a despair or anything and that weirds monokuma out+
