This book is killer. An epic, sprawling neo-noir/supernatural horror/crime novel set against the backdrop of a massive hurricane hitting Puerto Rico. Bleak and bloody. Can’t recommend it enough. Maybe even better than The Devil Takes You Home.

Fun fact about Lake Superior. It rarely gives up its dead.
It’s so deep and cold that bodies can’t produce the gases they need to rise to the surface.
This inspired my story The Squall, coming 10/7 in the Absolute Zero Anthology of Cold Horror from @deadskypub.bsky.social
