For our club's upcoming Lardy day, I am planning on a refighting of the 53rd Battalion of Chasseurs Alpins (BCA) defence of Biville-la-Baignarde on the 10th June 1940. You can read the historical background to the fight below.

A change up from Early War French, a small hobbit armed with a pie and sword. Very difficult not to paint him in camo green/brown and give him a MAS-36 rifle and Adrian helmet.

Last night as the French successfully held off a German Blitzkrieg we bumped in to how fixed line Forward Observers mesh with the abstraction/virtualisation of Forward Observers in the new rules.

Anyway a suggestion - the Forward Observation Point (FOP)
