Alice was prolific and left us with a body of work which will surely carry us forward for generations. Please take time to read the anthologies she edited (Disability Intimacy, Disability Visibility, Resistance & Hope), as well as her memoir Year of the Tiger: An Activist’s Life.

That said, over the course of the past several days, a chorus of beautiful tributes honoring her memory have poured in. People have uplifted the words Alice gifted us while highlighting how she touched and transformed the lives of everyone she came into contact with.

"We tell our stories and truths in our own words. We define who we are and our place in the world. We fight to be seen and heard. We live in defiance with joy and radical acceptance."

Disability Justice makes it clear that INTERDEPENDENCE and turning to each other is always the answer. We must build a world where hunger cannot be weaponized as a political tool! And each and every person has their needs abundantly and consistently met beyond carceral State apparatuses.
