My first interaction with Rob was when he wrote one of the earliest Big Bads for us at @hitpointpress.bsky.social. His work at Forbes to bring RPGs more into the mainstream media was always great. Sending out my condolences to his family. Terrible news.

I am absolutely gutted to hear of the death of Rob Wieland, literally one of the greatest tabletop reviewers and commentators we had. Tirelessly tracked industry news, omnipresent in our collective circles and communities. I am so sad for his young family. These are dark days, friends.

We had the pleasure of working directly with Rob some time ago when he wrote King Blrrk - the gelatinous ooze turned mob boss who would eventually become the de facto mascot of our Big Bads lineup of boss monsters.

We were shocked and saddened to hear the news of Rob Wieland's passing. He was a champion of indie games and his mainstream support of indie TTRPGs was unparalleled.

On top of that, just a great human being to know and to work with.
