Bruni is correct. Bondi diverted attention last week from the real crimes committed on 1/6/21. At the urging of the then POTUS a rabble of racists, election deniers & malcontents sought to subvert the rule of law. Prosecute the real criminals not the investigators.

Are they? Clear majority of Americans want POTUS & gov't to deal w/ immigration issues. 1 reason Trump won. But did they vote for the illiberal democratic means by which this is being done -- w/out due process, w/out distinction between deserving cases & undeserving ones, to places like Iran?

Illiberal democracy like Orban's Hungary is a more fitting analogy, although there are parallels to fascism. 1 facet of fascism is that it is antidemocratic but will use democracy to attain power. Once in power it will dismantle democratic institutions -- all w/ show of legality. That is happening
