I often ask for feedback from students and they often reflect - it’s not that I give more work, it’s that they have to think and understand in my class… it’s not about the amount of work, it’s about the depth.

I’d like to make some more friends who are into comics and graphic novels and are educators and librarians. This circle is small… but powerful.

I read the prose version w/ my kids when it first came out. Opened powerful & honest conversations in my family.The graphic novel was just released today & it is powerful. Emotional. Honest. On our half-day today,we are watching G Willow Wilson’s inspiring Ted Talk on creating Ms Marvel, the importance of seeing ourselves in our heroes, and being bold. Also - the new Poison Ivy annual is absolute fire - parallels the Arthurian legends in a new and beautiful way. A must read. @gwillow.me
