Our updated plain language guidance is now live, with new content including sections on health literacy and digital health literacy. It was developed with National Adult Literacy Agency (NALA) and people with experience of using and delivering services. Available here: www.hiqa.ie/learning-hub

We have published an inspection report on a children’s residential centre operated by Tusla in the South West region.

It was non-compliant with five, substantially compliant with three and compliant with one of the standards assessed.

We have published new guidelines on the use of medical radiological procedures for early detection of disease in people without signs or symptoms of that disease. The goal is to ensure tests are only used when benefits outweigh risks and individuals are fully informed.

Dr Kieran Walsh and Dr Helen O’Donnell, were shortlisted at the RAMI Research Awards for their rapid review on COVID-19 vaccine immunity in people with underlying conditions. Their work supports evidence-based decisions on booster timing.
