I make #ttrpg comics, art, and animations. Let's talk tabletop games!

If there’s one thing I’ve learned running hundreds of mystery focused adventures, it’s to keep the puzzles simple.
Players will always find ways to surprise you…for good and for bad #ttrpg
You know your #DnD campaign is good when everyone is texting about their characters between sessions!
Being a #DungeonMaster is just saying yes to chaos and then frantically googling rules while your players argue about spell components 😭
I find rolling stats is way more fun than point buy because sometimes you get that weird #dnd character build that ends up being perfect!
I always make it clear to my #dnd players that death isn’t the end of their story. If they show interest in playing a character who has died, I go out of my way to help make it happen!
Making a #dnd character with like 12 charisma who thinks they're incredibly charming is one of the funniest things a player can do. Its a CLASSIC bit.
For villains, I started using “superior” abilities that mimic normal class features with a bit of a bump to their power. Stuff like “Superior Portent” might always result in a 1 or a 20 rather than rolling numbers at the start of the day.
Take a second to think about what you want to do while other people are taking their #dnd turns 🥲
#dnd rangers get so much hate but put them in the right campaign and they're literally carrying the whole party!
#dnd balance has a lot more to do with how the players “feel” rather than the flat math of the game. Rather than ban features, I look towards equipping low performing players with magic items and balancing the encounters accordingly.
#DungeonsAndDragons taught me that hanging out with friends and telling stories together is a peak human experience😎
In #dnd session zero saves lives!
I put healing potions everywhere. My #dnd players always seem to find ways to get downed regardless 🥲
It made for some amazing moments!
My #dnd players once spent time planning a heist and actually executed it precisely as they planned it. I was SHOCKED.
The best #dnd characters are the ones whose backstories mesh with someone else's in the party! It brings the table together!
Death has become easier to mitigate over the last couple of #dnd editions. Some people increase the reagent cost, add a dice roll, ban the spells or add a lingering negative effect to resurrection! I prefer having the players go on an epic quest to get the diamonds!
There’s something really appealing about portable rams, sacks of flour and 10 ft poles. Throwing a bag over an enemy’s head is a popular move at our #dnd table. You’d be surprised by how many spells require the caster to see their target!
Every #dnd table develops its own shorthand and house rules. Inside jokes become mechanics. After a year, you're basically playing a different game with the same dice.
Took me 2 years to realize #dnd combat isn't about winning individual fights. It's about surviving 6-8 encounters with limited resources. Completely changed my encounter design!
The best #dnd moments happen when resources are low. One spell slot left, half health, out of ideas. Scarcity creates stories!
Over the weekend, my #dnd players went in to buy rope and rations. They left with a bag of holding, 50 ball bearings, and a collapsible 10-foot pole to put towards a plan they intend to share "in due time" 😭
The #dnd dwarven barkeep named Kawaii was supposed to give one clue and send the players on their way. Players loved him, so now he's secretly a retired adventurer with a tragic backstory!
Designed a #dnd dungeon with front gate, secret tunnel, and magical teleporter. Party used Dimension Door to enter through the chimney. Fourth option always exists 🤔
It’s okay to reuse #dnd plot lines or concepts. Your villain might be similar to previous baddies but your player’s actions will make every adventure unique!
My #dnd players have asked for the villain's star sign. What can they do with this info? 🤔
