Ooooh! Phillies episode on Abbott Elementary tonight! This will have to be our World Series, folks. And you know what? I’ll take it. Thank you Quinta! ❤️
See how much fun baseball is when there’s a comeback? Or when the other team makes it a series? Or when a great pitcher gets rocked for runs? As a fan, I’m glad when the runaway-train teams get held up at the station! If Seattle shows up late tonight— great! Even better, you know?
Brewers Part 3: The only people enjoying the NLCS are Dodger fans (many of whom I know and love). There’s nothing in it for the rest of us unless Brewers miraculously get back in it. Total snooze. And bad for baseball.
Brewers part 2: I am a lifelong baseball fan who lives in LA. I see a lot of Dodger games. And I am the Phillies’ biggest fan on planet earth. I’ve seen this Dodgers’ act before. Right now they are unbeatable.
I don’t usually say such things with 1.5 games played in a 7-game series, but the Brewers are out of it. Already. I would love for them to prove me wrong, though.
"Ahead of our Oct 16th edition... the Media School directed us to print no news in the paper, an order blatantly in defiance of our editorial independence and Charter... nothing but information about homecoming — no other news at all, and particularly no traditional front page news coverage."
Dear journalism students at Indiana University, Please transfer to another school as soon as practicable. What a disgrace. And to those considering enrollment at IU, apply to other colleges.
The same schools that claim their women’s and Olympic sports are being slashed are the same ones doling out over $200 million in buyouts to college football coaches.
