Monsta, one of the first games I worked on together with other people over 20 years ago has just been officially ported to the iPhone and iPad. It was originally designed for the PalmPilot if you remember those 🙂

We made a Nintendo 64 demo for Revision 2025!

📺 youtu.be/v3wYV6gxJII

It has baked lighting with normal mapping, specular shading (at the end), and of course bloom. The beautiful song was made by @prismbeings.com with guitar performed by soundcloud.com/sou_andrade

Some development notes below.
A screenshot of a graphics demo with an arched outdoor hallway made of rock walls with the sky seen behind, with the out-of-frame sun casting its light to the cobblestone floor and walls.

big ups Moby for doing something incredibly nice, especially for students + as a teaching tool (let alone as a lovely resource for musicians) <3

It was really fun creating the graphics and animations for this little Atari ST production presented at Buxton Bytes. Code by Tom, music by Adam Gilmore.

100% of the 'top of the month' on pouet.net is now made of Atari ST releases. I don't think that has ever happened before! 💪

Vintage ! :D
Très sympa visuellement, en particulier les arrières-plans.

I don't often finish games, but I felt I had to make an exception for Stray.
Lovely game - looks great, plays well, and just the right length for me (8 hours with plenty of time to goof around).

Thank you, that means a lot ❤️
Everything you see here is only achieved by switching the background colour for each individual line at the exact right time.

"The Commodore Amiga and its Undying Adoration by Anarchist Creatives" - interesting read about the (mostly Amiga, but not only) demoscene:
marincomics.com/amiga-demosc...

I liked the quote below about seeing technical limitations as a motivation.
Prosperity, decline, and return of Adobe Flash

"When you separate the animation from the code, you are pushing away the art from the technique, and this is a problem. Flash provided the bridge: code that can work beautifully and art that can be functional."
