I remember when the game first launched, apple pie was not required at first for his cabin so he would make his way into all the other cabins that were for other visitors (blocking their visiting at the same time 🥲) as long as they had three pieces of furniture… prob why he requires the pie now lol

I decided to check on my cabin for Dear Daniel, I seem to have raided his cabin for the apple pie and left a comic at some point after he became a resident lol (once they’re resident you can change the furniture and are not bound by their reqs anymore)
