That's happened to me too before. Once one of my front tooth veneers popped off on December 23rd, and I called my Dentist panicking and she came in on Christmas Eve(!!!) to temp it back on. It held until we could get it fully fixed two weeks later.

She's a saint.
As the Real ID deadline approaches, I want to thank the awesome TSA agent who let me through security with my Costco Card when my wallet went missing on a business trip. It had my name, picture, and signature, so they let it slide.
(That wasn't long after TSA was created, though - so simpler times.)
Also, the only real alternative I’ve seen is this: (using share links inside shared notes)

Maybe you'd be interested in attending a Government workshop my team has coming up next month in the bay area on sUAS swarming?
On December 20th, 400 people including my dear friend Lauren, were displaced from their homes by a 5-alarm fire. They’ve lost everything. If you can, please help.

What's the point of airport reserve if the drivers just cancel?
And it didn't give me a new reservation, it just cancelled everything, and now it's surge prices.
@Uber_Support very not cool. Used Uber Airport Reserve for my car for Las Vegas airport tonight — had it reserved with my flight details and as I was walking to the car, the driver cancelled.

*5 minutes* after we pulled into the gate.

What happened to “we wait for 60 minutes”?
She just pulled in someone else to help. I don't think this is going to end well. :(

My time in the bank is done though, so I won't be here to see how it turns out.
Over an hour in, and I just heard the word “@coinbase” 😔
“I don't suggest you send money to this person…”
It’s been over 45 minutes now — this poor manager cannot seem to convince the customer not to send money to this person. She’s shown him a website where she reverse-searched the phone number and showed its marked “Scam”.
“This is a low-trust site”…
New twist — the customer says they *have* to send the money or they won’t get their refund.

“Refund?!”

The plot thickens…
I’ve been here 20+ minutes and the customer keeps asking the manager to wire money to the account # in the message. The manager has politely said many times that she doesn’t think this is a good idea, that this person isn’t real, this isn’t a “professional conversation”…
OMG I’m in a bank and I’m overhearing a conversation where the bank manager is trying to explain to someone that they lost their money in a WhatsApp messaging scam. It’s super super sad hearing it…
I’m a puddle.

Y’all got me with this whole episode, especially that last few minutes.

… had a bunch more wars, lots of countries were created, abolished and merged.

We are coming up on 250 years soon — the semiquincentennial. Takensome time to really think about what that means — how far have we come, what have we accomplished, and where are we going.
I was born in the USA’s Bicentennial year.

In that year, there were still *Civil War* brides receiving military pensions.

In the hundred years since the centennial, we had a whole industrial revolution, two world wars, gained a bunch of states, invented the LIGHT BULB…
