The city is replacing our sidewalks. They did the end of our block last week and the woman on the corner carved “Free Palestine” in one slab, and a group of kids walked through the bits poured today, so now there are footprints through the rest of the block.

We had an ice breaker today for a work training that was sharing what the last song we listened to on our phones. I really did not want to participate.

It is a beautiful fall day and I am stuck inside with a cold. At least I have all the windows open, and got some Pho out of the deal. It will also give me an opportunity to finish the final book on my September reading list.

My husband and FIL are at the Dream Theater show, and I am enjoying a large Negroni and what was once a raging fire due to our fall housemates (paper wasps) deciding it was time to move back in. I have said it be for and will say it again, wood burning fireplaces are all that great.

I wish people freaking out about this MMRV recommendation actually read more than the headline. This has been the recommendation for years. They are simply recommending getting the Varicella vaccine as a separate shot, not recommending against the MMR shots.

A former colleague of mine is in the news due to his arrest for possession of child &@$”. The local conservative groups have latched on to it because he also happens to be gay. I hope they got through some things when they also learn he is ultra conservative.

I need to confess something. E bought a bottle of Ayoh Hot Giardinayo by Molly Baz. Most people that know me would tell you that I typically despise mayo. They might also tell you that Molly irritates the shit out of me. That being said, I used some today and it is effing good. I hate myself a bit.

If one more person tells me that “they” are going to do something with rates in September I am going to scream. These people seem to 1. Think that the Fed controls mortgage rates and 2. Seem to be oblivious to the fact that the Fed has cut rates 3 times already and mortgage rates are still high.

Our street is closed because they are replacing it. There are giant pieces of roadway missing, and the entire street is blocked off, yet people insist on trying to drive on it. Why?!?! I hope they fuck up their cars.

My AirPods are all of a sudden making a static sound in the left ear. I have tried cleaning them, updating them, etc and it is still happening. Does anyone know how to fix this?

A friend of mine that I went to HS with passed away a few weeks ago, and his obituary was shared this morning. It was the perfect way to honor him, but it also finally hit me that he is really gone. What a gut punch.
