All things knitting! 🧶 I create patterns, knit & dye yarn. My day job is scientist and professor - hence the DNA mittens I designed and knit. I advise my college knit/crochet club. Find my designs on Ravelry: https://ravel.me/escher-checker-blocks-scarf

Protest. Knit. Impede ICE... All at once.

Portland rocks.

#knitsky #FreeDC
Knit-in at the peaceful Portland protest. There’s mutual aid hotdog stand & lots of folks holding placards on each corner. As ICE vehicles enter & exit the crowd would holler “Quit your job!”.

To our neighbors who are being kidnapped and terrorized by ICE I say, No estás solo, you are not alone.💪🏽 🧶

Love the Dreyma sweater she’s wearing too!
I’m planning travel to war torn Portland to see my partner’s stupendous ska band Mister Blank. I struggle to decide on provisions & anti-fascist uniform. So far, my #knit #WIP, books from Powell’s & sustenance in local org yogurt & gluten free granola

What costume to wear from which I can knit?🦄 🐸🧶
Baby sweater knitting is underway for a dear friend. This is the Gerbera pattern, free on Ravelry. Yarn is CamaRose Økologist Summeruld, an organic cotton and merino wool blend. 🧶 #WIP I made lots of changes/improvements to the pattern in my Ravelry notes. #knitting ravel.me/huprice/3bdequ
#WIPWednesday ready to sew in the ends and block but she couldn’t wait to wear it. Here’s the off the shoulder cable sweater with fingerless mitten sleeves I designed with/for my daughter’s birthday. Happy Birthday! 🎉 🧶
It’s #WIP week! Working on a cable sweater design with and for my daughter. Been fun to design this with her input. Will be long sleeved with the cable detail continued down the arms when done. 🧶 #knit #ShowMeYourKnits
Such a fun weekend at Seattle’s Flock Fiber Festival. The botanical dyed bandana and double knitting classes were super informative and fun. Double knitting was/is a challenge but excited to have a new knit skill. 🧶
Here’s my #WIP for #showmeyourknits. Reworking the neck on this short sleeved T. Yarn is a lovely organic cotton wool blend by CaMaRose from Acorn Street Shop
#WIPWednesday Breaking out the crochet hook to fix my neckline. Only 20 more rows to redo! It probably would have been quicker to unravel from the top, but I didn’t want to risk messing up my short rows or lace 🧶 #knitsky #knit #crochet
My favorite garter stitch knit are these baby booties. My own design and I offer the pattern free (link in alt text) and ask for any donations to my favorite charity, Climate Action Families. climateactionfamilies.org/donate/ #ShowMeYourKnits #knit 🧶
Kayaking and knitting in public 🧶 working on a leaf-lace T-shirt with hand dyed yarn from Acorn Street Shop in Seattle. Neckline and edges are in garter stitch which is this week’s #showmeyourknits. #knitinpublic
Not a lot of yellow in my knits. Gold in my Dreyma sweater and yellow stripes in Arlo’s pride month rainbow pup jumper. #ShowMeYourKnits #knitsky 🧶 🏳️‍🌈
Knit in public? Heck yeah! Mariners baseball game, riding the Bremerton ferry, rafting the Wenatchee 🧶 #knitsky #knit
Meant to post on #WIPWednesday but it fits for today #NoKings
Thanks to everyone who suggested a color for my icord edge. Went with plum and love it. #knitsky 🧶
Still working on the breezy tee for #WIPWrdnesday First try at icord edges and I’m a fan. Meet my pup Arlo too 🧶
Beautiful day for knitting and white water rafting. #ShowMeYourKnits WIP week this Memorial Day weekend. Working on the Breezy Tee using lovely locally dyed yarn. Shortly after these pics were the first rapids and my work went safely into my dry bag. 🧶 🌊
Love your climate stripes scarf! I’ve been wanting to knit a garment in climate stripes and am intimidated by figuring out how much of each color yarn is required. Your work is inspiring!
Beautiful work! Thanks for sharing the pattern source - you’ve inspired me to order the book.
Woohoo for #WIPwednesday What’s your vote? I can’t decide between the plum vs sea foam for the i-cord neck, sleeves, and waist edging. This will eventually be a “Breezy Tee” using local hand dyed wool from the Acorn Street Shop in Seattle. 🧶
I love how many of us accidentally typed “shoe” for #ShowMeYourKnits 😅 🧶
