In my own top 50, one of Scorsese's many masterpieces. I first saw this around the age of 12 or 13 after watching Bugsy Malone (shoutout @betsygo.bsky.social - iykyk) and wanting to see what else Jodie Foster had done as a kid. This was ... a bit different.

In my own top 50, one of Scorsese's many masterpieces. I first saw this around the age of 12 or 13 after watching Bugsy Malone (shoutout @betsygo.bsky.social - iykyk) and wanting to see what else Jodie Foster had done as a kid. This was ... a bit different.
I remember when I first saw this film (far too young and at a sleepover), the thing that freaked me out most was the creepy Red Rum chant and then the reveal in the mirror. Had to have this in my own top 50.

Had this on my list! My first James Stewart film, possibly my first Hitchcock. I probably first watched this around the age of 7 or 8 due to my mum's love of Jimmy Stewart.

A wonderful film which is scarily realistic and relevant today.
In my 50, very close to breaking the top 10. Give it a couple more years for the legacy and influence to really be felt and it'll make it in. A modern masterpiece.

Had a great time with Del Toro's Frankenstein. The cinema was full and the audience really into it. The crafts are incredible as expected from a GDT film. The big surprise for me was the outstanding Jacob Elordi performance. More thoughts in this review for @revalmanac.bsky.social: boxd.it/byhBCp
