Wow! A great day for Hearth Stories alumni! Congrats @aliciaadamswriting.bsky.social This looks like a great anthology and a wonderful story!
My 7500-word story "An Exponentially Branching Tree" came out yesterday in the Way of Worlds anthology! It's available for purchase in paperback or ebook.

An epic game of go determines who lays claim to a newly discovered planet.

We have added PDF to the formats we provide through the website. All back-issues now have PDF as an available option. Not sure the level of interest, but hopefully it covers a few folks that would prefer it.

Dystopia: The Running Man (80s), Escape From New York
Invasion/Disaster: The Thing, The Stuff
Time/Parallel: Primer

Looks like a great issue! Congrats on the great publication :-D

There are a few authors in there that I know and have worked with. All very talented folks (yourself included, of course)!
We had a bit over that (around 600) for our first issue. It can be overwhelming, but also really cool to have all the interest. Did you do anything different with this submission call than you usually do?
All of our issues are now avail through: B&N, iBooks, Kobo, and Smashwords.

We recommend download from us, but if you're already on these platforms you may find it easier to use them.

Links to retailers are under the download box on each issue page. Pick an issue: hearthstories.org/issues.html
Our Springtime Fair issue was released on the 20th! Sorry for only just now announcing it.

We do love shire vibes, but we'd be interested in publishing stories featuring other non-modern settings. I'm often less steeped in the folklore influencing stories of other places and as such sometimes miss some nuance. We'd love to hear from you and are always interested in great cozy fantasy.
We're open until the end of the month. Send us witches/hermits, village festivals, butterflies in the stomach & the holding of hands. Sell us warm veggie soup/hot tea on a cold night, folks coming together, old friends finding each other again, or anything that makes you feel warm and nice.

We are currently open submissions for our fourth issue & would love to hear from you 😄

All three issues of Hearth Stories are now available (still for $0) through Smashwords and Kobo. Barnes and Noble, Apple Books, and Overdrive should be carrying it in the coming days. If you use a kobo, you will still get better formatting with the kepub from our site, though.

There has been. Not sure why. Sadly, bsky doesn't seem to let you edit posts like mastodon. Not sure why it didn't work.
Well, here we are on blusky. More of a mastodon sort ourselves, but felt it might be good for our authors to be here too. We have a new ebook issue available for free download if you like cozy fantasy short fiction: hearthstories.org/issues/3.html
